Paver driveway and gated entry.

ONE PROPERTY, A CONNECTED PLAN

Choose the surface. Consider the whole setting.

Pavers bring pattern, texture and borders. Poured concrete offers a continuous finish, while turf and walls help define the areas around it. OCIP helps shape the material choice around your home and the way the area will be used.

One property can include several surfaces: a paver driveway, a concrete walk and a patio beside the pool. Remodeling an existing pool can also be discussed, with appropriately licensed specialists involved as the work requires.

Planning the connections together helps align finished heights, drainage and the palette. That wider view matters even when only one area is changing.

THE SURFACES WE INSTALL

Which surface fits where?

Four kinds of work. Find the one that matches your project, or mix them.

Interlocking pavers

Pattern, color and borders for driveways, patios and walks, set on a compacted base and held by edge restraint and joint sand.

Poured concrete

A clean, continuous surface for driveways, patios and walks. We form it with a slope for drainage, then pour, finish and cut control joints.

Turf & walls

Turf and walls alongside driveways, patios and paths, with their purpose, layout and site requirements considered with the paving.

Tear-out and replacement

Old concrete or worn pavers come out. We rebuild the base for the new surface, which can be a different material than before.

HAVE THESE HANDY

Four details worth sending.

Use

Who and what travels on it: cars, trucks or just foot traffic.

Existing surfaces

Cracks, sunken spots, standing water and anything that has to stay, like a pool or planter.

Access

Gate widths, side yards, slopes and any spot equipment cannot easily reach.

Scope

Rough measurements, the material you lean toward and photos from a few angles.

PLAN IT TOGETHER

Three conversations first.

Area first, then surface, then scope, so the estimate matches the job.

01

Map the areas

Which parts are changing: driveway, front walk, patio, pool surround? Which stay? That tells us where each surface goes and where two of them meet.

02

Pick the surfaces

Pavers or concrete for each paved area, weighed by look, traffic and drainage. Bring photos of driveways or patios you like around town.

03

Agree on the full scope

Removal, base work, drainage, access and how each surface ties into the next, all spelled out in one estimate you review before work starts.

Before you hire.

OCIP installs paver and concrete driveways, patios, walkways and pool decks, with turf and walls also available. Existing-pool remodeling can be planned alongside the surrounding paving, with appropriately licensed specialists involved as required by the work. Start with the area and the change you have in mind.

Choose by the look you want, your budget and how the drive gets used. Pavers give you the most say over color, pattern and borders. Concrete suits a clean, simple look. Ask about both on your free estimate and compare them.

Yes. A common mix is a concrete driveway with a paver border or apron, or a concrete patio joined by paver walkways. The key is planning the joins: matching heights, carrying water across the transition and holding each edge so neither surface creeps.

If you can, yes: planning them together lines up levels, slopes and materials where they meet. If budget means building in phases, settle the full layout first so each later piece ties into the one before it.

Use the California Contractors State License Board website to search the contractor’s name or license number. OCIP’s number is 1071389. The official record is the place to check current status, classifications and bond information, and to confirm that the proposed scope is appropriately covered.

Yes. The old surface comes out, the base is assessed and prepared for the new surface, and the edges and slope are set again. Discuss the existing material and condition when you request your free estimate.
